RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A BID FROM BARLOWORLD FOR TWO KNUCKLEBOOM TRUCKS FOR THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Sanitation Department is in need of two (2) twenty-four yard Knuckleboom trucks for the Sanitation Department, and
WHEREAS, bids were taken and it was determined that a Lease Purchase agreement with Barloworld was the low bidder; and
WHEREAS, the attached Lease/Purchase agreement over a two year period totals $187,620.00 with a buy back rate of $60,000 for each vehicle equaling , and
WHEREAS, the Sanitation Director and Mayor's Office recommended the Lease Purchase agreement with Barloworld to the Public Works Committee who referred the matter to the Finance Committee who approved the resolution being placed on the agenda to the full Jonesboro City Council.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to accept Bid No. 2006:06 from Barloworld for two (2) twenty-four yard Knuckleboom trucks for the Sanitation Department, subject to legal review by the Jonesboro City Attorney.
