RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CITY OF JONESBORO 2008 ANNUAL BUDGET BY INCREASING THE STEP/SALARY FOR MPO DIRECTOR

WHEREAS, the City Council requested a salary study by the Department of Human Resources for the above selected positions in August of 2007; and
WHEREAS, the study was conducted by Gloria Roark and the above positions were all below the average salary as a result of the study.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The 2008 annual budget of the City of Jonesboro is amended by the increase of the Metropolitan Planning Organization Department Director to Grade 21, Step 17, $65,325.00
SECTION TWO: The funding for the increased salary and benefits shall be from existing Departmental 2008 budget appropriations.
SECTION THREE: For the financial and operational continuity of the City of Jonesboro, it is hereby found and declared that this resolution shall take effect after its passage and approval, retroactive to July 1, 2008.
