AN ORDINANCE DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO AMEND THE 1996 OPERATING BUDGET BY THE TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATED FUNDS.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The Mayor of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has delegated authority to amend the 1996 operating budget of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas as follows:
That, the 1996 operating appropriation for any department which incurs total expenditures for the year in excess of the current departmental appropriation be increased by an amount equal to such excess;
That, an amount equal to any required increase be transferred from the current departmental appropriation of any department which incurs expenditures for the year which are less than the current departmental appropriation.
That, the current total 1996 operating budget appropriation shall not be changed due to any appropriation transfer made pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take full force and effect from the date of its passage and approval.
