AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES FROM R-3 TO C-5, R-1 TO R-3, R-1 TO C-3, R-1 TO C-5, R-1 TO R-3

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro to be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
(1.) From residential (R-3) to Commercial (C-5) of the property described as : The West 430 feet of the North 210 feet and the East 260 feet of the West 900 feet of the North 210 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 14 North, Range 4 East.
(2) From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-3) of the following property described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Northeast Corner of the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 29, Township 14, Range 4, and, East Craighead County, Arkansas. Thence proceeding westward along and following the ¼ section line 1, 540’ to a point; thence proceeding southward 460’ to a point; thence proceeding southeastwardly 210’ to an angle point; thence proceeding southeast 160’ to an angle point; thence continuing southeast 150’ to a point; thence proceeding southwestwardly approximately 240’ to a point in the centerline of a proposed 60’ road; thence proceeding northwestwardly 50’ to a point in the centerline of said proposed 60’ road; thence proceeding southwesterly 225’ to a point; thence proceeding southwardly approximately 1,175’ to a point in the north right-of-way line of Arkansas State Highway #63 Bypass; thence proceeding southeastwardly along a following the north right-of-way line of Arkansas State Highway #63 By-Pass approximately 100’ to an angle point in said right-of-way; thence continuing along and following said north right-of-way line eastwardly approximately 300’ to an angle point; ...
