ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE PORTION OF BASWELL STREET (A.K.A. GWYNDALE AVENUE) BETWEEN STADIUM BLVD AND BRAZOS STREET

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street designated as follows:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of Baswell Street, a/k/a Gwyndale Avenue, between Stadium Boulevard and Brazos Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas;
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas, and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above street is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above street is in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street, and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
