RESOLUTION TO LEVY A 5 MILL TAX ON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY TO CARRY ON THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO

For all City purposes and in order to carry on the Government of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas there shall be and there is hereby levied on all real and personal property within the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas for the year 1963, taxes at the rate of 5 mills on the dollar, based on the appraisement of the County Assessor and the Board of Equalizers for State, County and City taxes. That the Clerk of the County Court is hereby authorized and directed to place said levy upon the tax books and the same shall be collected in the same manner and by the same person that County taxes are collected. That this resolution be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adopting, because it is found that the City needs the levy of taxes herein provided for the efficient operation of the City Government.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 1962.
