APPEAL HEARING - 7:15 P.M. - Mrs. Mary Mitchell of 500 Ridge Crest, requested the Appeal Hearing scheduled for 7:15 p.m., be postponed till the next council meeting.

OATH OF OFFICE - 7:20 P.M. - Craighead County Clerk, Jane Todd administered the oath of office to the following public officials: City Clerk, Donna Jackson, Alderman Gene Vance, Alderman Donnie Wise, Alderman Brian Rega, Alderman Grover Evans, Alderman Cecil Province, Alderman David Young, Alderman Harold Perrin, Alderman Garry Tate, Alderman Ron Kelton, Alderman Bill Roddy, Alderman Gary Harpole and Alderman Jim Hannah. Mayor Brodell and City Attorney, Phillip Crego were administered the oath of office by Judge Templeton on Monday, January 2, 1995, a day before the regularly scheduled council meeting.

CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, JANUARY 3, 1995

The Jonesboro City Council met in regular session, Monday, January 3, 1995, at 7:30 P.M. A full quorum was in attendance. Present were the Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney, and all twelve council members.

The minutes of December 19, 1994, were approved as mailed on motion by Councilman Perrin seconded by Councilman Harpole. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those aldermen voting aye were: Vance, Wise, Rega, Evans, Province, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, Harpole and Hannah.

Councilman Harpole moved, seconded by Councilman Wise to table the Appeal Hearing scheduled for Mrs. Mary Mitchell of 500 Ridge Crest until January 16, 1995. A roll call vote was taken resulting in all council members voting aye. Those aldermen voting aye were: Vance, Wise, Rega, Evans, Province, Young, Perrin, Tate, Kelton, Roddy, Harpole and Hannah.

The following ordinance was on the third reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (Allie G. Fallis)
