AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TWO MATA POSITIONS AND THE APPROPRIATION FOR THESE POSITIONS FROM THE STREET PROJECTS SALES TAX FOR THE REMAINDER OF 1997

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby authorizes the MATA positions of Traffic Engineer and Code Inspector/Surveyor; and appropriates $32,000.00 dollars from the Street Projects sales tax fund.
SECTION 2: Said funds shall be for the balance of 1997.
SECTION 3: This ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is hereby declared to be an emergency and shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1997.
