RESOLUTION TO AMEND A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARKANSAS STATE GAME AND FISH COMMISSION TO ADD PROPERTY

WHEREAS, THE CITY OF JONESBORO HAS A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ARKANSAS STATE GAME AND FISH COMMISSION DATED JANUARY 18, 2001;
WHEREAS, THE ARKANSAS STATE GAME AND FISH COMMISSION HAS EXECUTED A QUITCLAIM DEED AMENDING THE LEASE AGREEMENT RECORDED SEPTEMBER 26, 2001 IN CRAIGHEAD COUNTY MISCELLANEOUS BOOK 43 AT PAGES 348-354 BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY:
A tract of land situated in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section Seven, Township Thirteen North, Range 4 East of the Fifth Principal Meridian, (A pt. of the SW1/4 of SE1/4 Sec 7,Twp.13 N,R4E,5th P.M., located in Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a 1"pipe found at the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Twp.13 N, Range 4 East of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Craighead County, Arkansas, thence S 89°55'25"E for a distance of 400.00 ft along the North line of said Quarter-Quarter Section to the Point of beginning; thence continuing along said Quarter-Quarter Section line, South 89°55'25"E for a distance of 290.40 ft to a point; thence S 00°14'00"West for a distance of 150.00 ft. to a point; thence N 89°55'25"W for a distance of 290.40 ft to a point; thence N 00°14'00"E for a distance of 150.00 ft to the point of beginning, together with and subject to covenants, easements and other restrictions of record, said property contains 1.00 acre, more or less.
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF JONESBORO BELIEVES SAID AMENDMENT IS FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND ALL ITS RESIDENTS;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE SUCH DOCUMENTS AS ARE NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS AMENDED LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARKANSAS STATE GAME AND FISH COMMISSION.
