AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:   

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Agricultural (Ag-1) To Industrial (I-1) of property described as follows:

 

Part of the NW ¼ NE ¼ of Section 25, T14N, R4E, Craighead County, Arkansas to wit:  From the Northeast Corner of said NW ¼ NE ¼, run South 00º17'24" West 37.80 feet to the point of beginning; then continue South 00º17'24" West 1052.42 feet; then run South 88º18'49" West 1277.48 feet to the East Right Of Way Line of Moore Road; then run North 00º51'14" East along said East Right Of Way Line 423.66 feet; then leaving said Right Of Way Line run South 89º08'44" East 160.01 feet; then run North 00º51'14" East 272.22 feet; then run North 89º08'42" West 160.01 feet to the aforesaid East Right Of Way Line of Moore Road; then run North 00º51'14" along said East Right Of Way Line 390.00 feet to the South Right Of Way Line of Arkansas State Highway #18 (Aka Highland Drive); then run South 89º48'28" East along said South Right Of Way Line 1266.08 feet to the point of beginning, containing 30.20 acres.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
