AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A CITY BASE FOR ELEVATIONS WITHIN THE CITY

The official City Base, or Plane or Reference for elevations in the City of Jonesboro is hereby fixed at a point one hundred (100) feet below an assumed Datum Plane.
The stone set in the Northeast corner of the court square is hereby declared to be the Primal Bench Mark of the City of Jonesboro, and the elevation thereof is One Hundred Thirty Seven and no-100 (137.00) feet above the City Base.
All official elevations hereafter established in the City of Jonesboro shall be described with reference to their elevation as compared with the official base, in feet and decimal parts of a foot. No grade or official elevation shall be established other than by ordinance and in the manner described in this ordinance.
