AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: (R-1 to R-2, E side of Loberg Ln, S of Matthews Ave., Mitt Songer, / Mooney)
From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2) of property described as follows: A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, being more particularly described as follows: Begin at the Northeast Corner of Section 23 aforesaid: thence West along the Section line 1584.0 feet; thence South 01°49' West 812.95 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 01°49' West 90.75 feet; thence South 89° 57' East 480.0 feet; thence North 01°49' East 90.75 feet; thence North 89°57' West 480 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.00 acre and being subject to a public road right-of-way off and across the West side thereof.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
