ORDINANCE REGULATING SMALLPOX ISOLATION AND QUARANTINE

That all persons having smallpox, and all persons associated with persons having smallpox or any other infectious or contagious diseases, the same are hereby required to remain in their rooms or on their own premises until discharged by their attending physician.
It is further ordained that persons who have not had smallpox or other infectious or contagious diseases be prohibited from visiting persons who have those diseases, and that persons who have been exposed to infectious or contagious diseases be required to remain on their own premises until no danger is apparent from them. Provided, that this requirement shall not apply to regular practicing physicians.
That all persons violating either of the foregoing sections shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction may be fined in any sum not exceeding Twenty-five Dollars.
