RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A POLICE OFFICER COMPENSATION COMMITTEE AND TO APPOINT MEMBERS

WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee unanimously voted on May 5, 2016, to establish a committee to review and make recommendations concerning police officer salaries and compensation.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

 

SECTION 1. The Police Officer Compensation Committee is hereby established.

 

SECTION 2. That Councilman Mitch Johnson, Chief Financial Officer Suzanne Allen, Human Resources Director Dewayne Douglas, Police Chief Rick Elliott and four to six police officers to be determined are hereby appointed to the committee.

 

SECTION 3. That the terms of the members shall expire on December 31, 2016, or when the duties of the committee are fully satisfied.
