A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A PERMANENT EASEMENT FOR THE TURTLE CREEK PORTION OF THE JONESBORO GREENWAY

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to improve and develop the area around Turtle Creek with the Turtle Creek Greenway; and

WHEREAS, the Nettleton Public Schools have worked in cooperation with the City of Jonesboro to plan and build 2,000 feet of Greenway; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking a permanent easement from Nettleton Public Schools for the Turtle Creek portion of the greenway;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall accept a permanent easement from the Nettleton Public Schools for the Turtle Creek Greenway; and

Section 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk Donna Jackson are authorized to effectuate this agreement.
