RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE SALE OF LAND AT THE INTERSECTION OF CW POST ROAD AND MOORE STREET

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the following described real property located in Craighead County, Arkansas, to wit:
West Acreage lying in the Northeast Corner of the Intersection of C W Post and Moore Streets.
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Industrial Development Commission had agreed to purchase said property on the terms and conditions as set out in the proposed contract; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that said property be sold to JIDC for the sum of $1000.00 dollars per acre.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that by The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, that the City is authorized and directed to sell the above described real property to JIDC for the sum of $1000.00 dollars per acre and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any and all papers necessary to effectuate this transfer.
