AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1632 THE SAME ORDINANCE DEALING WITH PAWNBROKERS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that Ordinance Number 1632, Section 2 be amended as follows:

 

Section 2 shall read: The pawnbroker who fails to provide the daily report or information required in Section 1 above as provided in this ordinance shall be subject to a fine for the first offense of no greater than $100.00; for a failure to provide the information required in Section 1 above a second time, the pawnbroker shall be fined no more than $250.00; and for each subsequent offense the pawnbroker shall be subject to affine of not more than $500.00.

 

Section 1: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that Ordinance No. 1632, Section 2 should be amended as stated above and therefore, this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passed and approval.
