Minutes for the City Council meeting on August 22, 1960

The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Ark., met in regular session at City Hall, Monday night, August 22, 1960, at 7:30 p.m. There were present: Mayor, City Attorney and the following named Councilmen: Williams, Sammons, Smith, Brickell, Heern, Snow, Field, Griffin, Copeland and Ebbert. Absent: Parks, Kenward and City Clerk.
Mr. Heern made the motion seconded by Mr. Sammons that the City Inspector be allowed expenses, not to exceed $50.00, to attend the Plumbing Inspectors Short School at Little Rock on September 1, 2 and 3. The roll was called. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
Mr. Copeland made the motion seconded by Mr. Brickell that the bills as okayed by the Finance Committee be paid. Roll was called. All aye. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Council adjourned until Tuesday, September 6, 1960, at 7:30 p.m.
