AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 14 THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO REZONE FROM R-1 TO C-3, CERTAIN PROPERTY (HIGHWAY 49 NORTH)

WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain property generally located in the NW¼ of the SW ¼ of section 10, T14N-R4E, Craighead County, Arkansas and lots 6 and 7 in block “F” of F. W. Caldwell’s Subdivision of part of the SW¼ of the NW¼ of Section 10, T14N-R4E, and has recommended to the City Council that said property be rezoned as requested.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:                         

 

That Title 14 known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classification, from R-1 Residential to C-3 Commercial, for the following described property:  Lots 6 and 7, in Block “F” of F.W. Caldwell’s Subdivision of part of the SW¼ of the NW¼ of Section 10, T14N-R4E, and part of the NW¼ of the SW¼ Section 10, T14N-R4E, described as follows:  Begin at the NW corner of the NW¼ of the SW¼ of said Section 10; said point also being the SW corner of Lot 6, Block “F” Caldwell’s Subdivision; thence North 207.0 feet to the NW corner of said lot 6; thence North 89°51’11” East 215.0 feet to the NE corner of Lot 7, Caldwell’s Subdivision; thence South 00°10’36” East309.85 feet to a point on the northerly right-of-way line of  State Highway No. 49; thence South 58° 7’ 55” West along said right of way 66.69 feet to a concrete R/W marker; thence south 28°32’ 39” east 10.0 feet to a concrete R/W marker; thence South 57° 57’ 15” west along Highway R/W 193.6 feet; thence north 249.01 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.91 acres, more or less.
