SALARY SURVEY
Councilwoman Williams introduced Mr. Steve Condrey asking him to explain the different levels, what was involved in the process, and the different options for consideration by the Finance Committee. Mr. Condrey classified Jonesboro as a good situation in that the new pay plan could be made better, without being an expensive process. He explained when a project such as Jonesboro is done it usually costs (at a minimum) 2 to 3 percent, and Jonesboro’s cost is approximately 3 to 5 percent. He provided a preliminary report, saying it was a working document, and explaining they have updated all the salaries up to the point of implementation in January. He stated after implementation, appeals could be filed, and they would work with the City of Jonesboro for a year following the implementation. He stated the report was 98% completed, but was not the last time that they would look at anything. A list of organizations which responded to the survey were provided, which included various cities and local employers.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business Councilman Dover moved, seconded by Councilwoman Williams to adjourn.
