RESOLUTION DATED 12/20/76 AUTHORIZING DISCRETIONARY FUND APPLICATION UNDER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM -1977

WHEREAS, the City is desirous of making application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant of funds available under the Discretionary Fund provisions of the Housing and Community Development At of 1974; and
WHEREAS, upon review of the community development needs from the previously approved Community Development Plan, the City Council has determined certain improvement which should be proposed in said Application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
(1) That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to submit on behalf of the city an application for a Discretionary Fund Grant under the Community Development Program on Standard Form 424, with related papers.
(2) That the amount of the Application shall be $250,000; and that the amount received through the application is an outright Federal Grant not necessarily requiring a local matching share.
(3) That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
