ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE JONESBORO CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 2.20.01 (A) ENTITLED REGULAR MEETINGS; 2.20.02 (A) ENTITLED SEATING; 2.20.04 (B), ENTITLED AGENDA ITEMS & PUBLIC COMMENT; AND 2.20.14 (D) ENTITLED RESPONSIBILITY TO DISCLOSE (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY ORD-06:103 ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2006)

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Jonesboro City Council to establish the organization of the 2005 Jonesboro City Council in accordance with Arkansas Code Annotated 14-43-501 which mandates the aldermen elected for each city shall annually, at the first council meeting in January, assemble and organize the city council; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3394 was adopted January 6, 2003 by the Jonesboro City Council amending Jonesboro Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2.20 establishing procedures in council meetings and other procedures and rules.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 3394 and Section 2.20.01 (A) entitled Regular Meetings of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances shall be amended by changing the first sentence to read as follows: “The City Council shall meet in regular session on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. 3394 and Section 2.20.02 (A) entitled Seating of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances shall be amended as follows: “Aldermen shall be seated according to their ward beginning on the Presiding Officer’s far left with Ward 1, Pos. 1; Ward 1, Pos. 2; Ward 2 Pos. 1; and ending at the City Attorney’s left with Ward 3, Pos. 2; then beginning on the Presiding Officer’s far right with Ward 4, Pos. 1; Ward 4, Pos. 2; and ending at the City Clerk’s right with Ward 6, Pos. 2.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 3394 and Section 2.20.04 (B) entitled Agenda Items & Public Comment of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances, Paragraph 3 shall be amended as follows: “Any ordinance or resolution which was not include...
