RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE THE HUNTINGTON BUILDING, 900 WEST MONROE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to purchase that property known as the Huntington Avenue Methodist Church, located at 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

WHEREAS, said property is offered for sale by the current owners, and can be purchased at a price advantageous to the citizens of the City of Jonesboro.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro are authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of said property for the sum of $495,000.00.

FURTHER said Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to complete said purchase.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2^nd day of November, 1998.
