RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING FILING OF AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS FOR AN ARKANSAS JOBS STIMULUS PROGRAM GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is applying to the State of Arkansas for an Arkansas Jobs Stimulus Program Grant; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the application requirements; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has conducted at least one public hearing as part of the Application process to receive and consider citizens comments on community needs and proposed activities.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

(1)                     That the application for ACEDP assistance requesting a program grant in the amount of as described on the application forms dated August 15, 1983, are hereby approved.

(2)                     That Neil J. Stallings, Mayor is authorized to submit this application to the State of Arkansas, on behalf of the City of Jonesboro to undertake this project if funded.

(3)                     That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
