A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WITH DAYSTAR (LEGISTAR SOFTWARE) NOW KNOWN AS GRANICUS, INC. FOR HOSTED SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, Daystar who provides the Legistar software was purchased by Granicus, Inc in April of 2011 and is currently being utilized by the Office of City Clerk to provide public access to agenda items, minutes, resolutions, and ordinances for City Council meetings as well as the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission; And
WHEREAS, the server which houses Legistar and is maintained by the City of Jonesboro is over six years old; And
WHEREAS, the server failed last Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and is in need of repair and/or replacing; And
WHEREAS, Granicus provides a service which will host Legistar data on their server, providing for added security in case of an outage and meets the needs of disaster recovery.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The City of Jonesboro authorizes the amendment with Granicus for hosted services in the amount of $2,000.00 for up-front configuration and an additional cost of $110.00 per month for the hosted services plus any shipping and sales tax fees. The money is to come from the City Clerk's overall 2012 budget with no additional appropriation of funds.
Section 2: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
