A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA)

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro City Council understands the importance aviation plays in the local economy and industrial recruitment efforts; and

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Municipal Airport has been awarded a grant by the FAA totaling $292,040.50; and

WHEREAS, as an award of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, this grant covers 100% of the cost related to the rehabilitation of taxiway pavement at the Jonesboro Municipal Airport;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the grant acceptance agreement from the FAA for Grant Number 3-05-0033-017-2009 and to submit any and all documents as set forth by the FAA.
