RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO THE CRAIGHEAD FORREST COMMISSION AND THE JONESBORO BOATING CLUB FOR THEIR SERVICES TO THE CITY AND CITIZENS OF JONESBORO IN THEIR OPERATION OF THE CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro for many years has owned the park known as Craighead Forest, and
WHEREAS, the Craighead Forest Commission was created for the purpose of operating the Craighead Forest and the Jonesboro Boating Club has been actively operating the lake and facilities at the lake at Craighead Forest, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro desires to spread the following Resolution upon the minutes:
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, recognizes the excellent and energetic and intelligent service which has been performed by the members of the Craighead Forrest Commission and members of the Jonesboro Boating Club in their operation of the Craighead Forest Park and the Craighead Forest Lake, all for which has been a great service rendered to the City of Jonesboro.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Craighead Forest Commission and the Jonesboro Boating Club perform an outstanding service in their operation of the City owned park which is the largest city owned park in the State of Arkansas with over 600 acres, and it is probably the largest park of any kind in Northeast Arkansas, and that the Commission and the Jonesboro Boating Club have operated this park with only $1800 in tax money annually. That the efforts of both the Commission and the Jonesboro Boating Club have created a large and beautiful part for the benefit of the Citizens of the City of Jonesboro.
FURTHER, RESOLVED that a copy of the Resolution shall be spread upon the minutes of the official minute book and become a lasting tribute to the Craighead Forest Commission and the Jonesboro Boating Club for their excellent service rendered to the City and that a dopy of this Resolution be tendered to the Chairman of the Craighead Forest Park Commis...
