BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1. That hereafter it shall be lawful to park vehicles on the East side of Church Street between Jackson Avenue and Washington Avenue in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, said parking to be for a period of twelve (12) months at one time and no longer.

SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful to park vehicles on the West side of Church Street in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, between Washington and Jackson Avenues.

SECTION 3. Any person violating this ordinance shall be punished as provided in Ordinance 762, of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, adopted the 5th day of January, 1948.

SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. It being found that said ordinance 762 endangers the lives of the patrons of the local post office at Jonesboro, Arkansas, by subjecting them to the hazards of walking across Church Street to transact business in the post office and same being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the same shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage and adoption.

ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 1948.
