MINUTES
METROPOLITAN AREA PLANNING COMMISSION
DECEMBER 10, 1996

MEMBERS PRESENT: Coleman, Little, Damron, Gardner, Finley, Beadles Pitts, Shaw and Phillips

MEMBERS ABSENT: None

A motion was made to approve the minutes of the November 12, 1996 meeting as amended (adding a second to Item 16).

Item of business left from last meeting, David Onstead requested approval of a two lot plat containing 1.824 acres located on east side of Harrisburg Road, south of Gladiolus. The item was withdrawn at last month’s meeting and they asked that it be brought back up and a vote be taken on the replat only.

Dr. Beadles moved to bring the matter back up for the replat only, seconded by Ms. Shaw. Seven voted aye, one absent for vote.

Mr. Damron moved to approve the replat subject to:
1. Showing existing sewer easement
2. Showing effect of top of ditch on Lot 1
3. Satisfy City Engineer with ditch easement
Ms. Finley seconded, eight voted aye, 0 no, REQUEST APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.

#1 AZ96-2 David Cossey, Mike Young and others requested approval of annexation for 99.475 acres located in the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 26, T15N, R4E and the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 26, T14N, R4E. A zoning classification of Residential R-1 is requested for all of the property. The property is principally located on the north side of Macedonia Road, with a portion of the property being on the south side of Macedonia Road, all of it east of Highway 351.

Ms. Shaw moved to approve the annexation and recommend to the City Council the R-1 zoning subject to:
1. Appropriate ROW for a section line be granted
2. Show existing development as it is now on plans
3. Bring all roads and streets into compliance with city codes

Mr. Pitts seconded, 8 voted aye, 0 no, REQUEST APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.
