Title

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE ANIMAL SHELTER

Body

WHEREAS, Resolution 2006:115 authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute  an agreement  with Brackett-Krennerich and Associates, P.A. to provide architectural services for the construction of a new Animal Shelter at 7% of the total construction cost of the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received Invoice for Architectural Services No. One, which represents the fee for work completed through the Construction Documents Phase of the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of the project is $1,066,000.00 which will be adjusted to actual costs after the project bids.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:

 

 SECTION I:  $74,620 is appropriated for architectural services related to construction of a new Animal Shelter.

 

SECTION II:  The 2007 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro is amended to reflect said appropriation money to come from the unappropriated fund balance of the Capital Improvement Fund.
