A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE CONTENTS OF “THE POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT” IN THEIR ENTIRETY

Body

WHEREAS, CHIEF MICHAEL YATES DIRECTED, AS PROVIDED IN ARKANSAS CODE ANOTATED 14-51-302, THE PROMULGATING AND COMPILING OF NEW POLICIES AND REGULATIONS HEREAFTER CALLED “THE POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL OF THE JONESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT.”

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The provisions of this article shall apply equally to all employees of the Jonesboro Police Department.

Section 2:  “The Policy and Procedures Manual of the Jonesboro Police Department” are hereby approved and adopted in their entirety.

Section 3:  Any and all additions, amendments, deletions, and subtractions to or from the “The Policy and Procedures Manual of the Jonesboro Police Department” that are proposed following the passage of this article must be submitted to the City Council for approval and adoption by resolution. 

Section 4:  All Resolutions and parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
