BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property.

DESCRIPTION:
A PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 13 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST OF THE 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 9, THENCE NORTH 88 DEG. 25’ 32” EAST 1069.14 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SECTION 9 TO A POINT ON THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF ARKANSAS HIGHWAY NO. 1, THE POINT OF BEGINNING; CONTINUE THENCE NORTH 88 DEG. 25’ 32” EAST 270.52 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SECTION 9 TO A POINT ON THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF ARKANSAS HIGHWAY 163 SPUR, THENCE SOUTH 00 DEG. 02’ 05” WEST 160.77 FEET ALONG THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF SAID HIGHWAY 163 SPUR TO A POINT ON THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF THE MISSOUR PACIFIC RAILROAD, THENCE SOUTH 36 DEG. 53’ 54” WEST 246.61 FEET ALONG SAID RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO A POINT, THENCE NORTH 52 DEG. 44’ 27” WEST 280.53 FEET TO A POINT ON THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF WAY OF ARKANSAS HIGHWAY NO. 1, THENCE NORTH 29 DEG. 12’ 16” EAST 207.04 FEET ALONG SAID EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF ARKANSAS HIGHWAY 1 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING SOME 2.032 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, SUBJECT TO UTILITY EASEMENTS AS SHOWN ON THE RECORDED PLAT OF SURVEY.
