AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1204, SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE BUILDING CODE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: Section 10, sub-paragraph B of Ordinance No.1204 is amended as follows:
For a permit for the construction or alteration of a building or structure, the fee shall be at the rate of $4.00 per thousand dollars of the estimated cost up to $15,000, plus $3.00 per thousand dollars of the estimated cost in excess of $15,000 up to $100,000; plus $2.00 per thousand dollars of the estimated cost in excess of $100,000 up to $500,000; plus $1.40 per thousand dollars of the estimated cost in excess of $500,000 up to $1,000,000; plus $1.15 per thousand dollars of the estimated cost in excess of $1,000,000; provided that no fee shall be required when the estimated cost does not exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Section 2: All Ordinances and/or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
