RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY IN KITCHEN PLACE ADDITION LOCATED EAST AND WEST THROUGH BLOCK 3 OF GREGG AND HOUGHTON’S SUB-DIVISION

WHEREAS, a petition has been duly filed by T. Richard Reed, et al, being all the property owners of Lots 1 through 24 of Block 3 of Gregg and Houghton’s sub-division of Kitchen Place addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas praying that the alley herein described be abandoned and vacated as follows:
An alley being 15 feet wide by 600 feet long running East and West through Block 3 of Gregg and Houghton’s sub-division of Kitchen Place Addition, said alley being bounded on the North by Lots 1 through 12 inclusive and on the South by Lots 13 through 24 inclusive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro. Arkansas that the City Clerk of said city give notice by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County Arkansas, advising the public and property owners affected that on June 3, 1957 the City Council will hear the petition and determine whether such alley shall be abandoned and vacated, and whether all abutting property owners and other interested persons have consented to such abandonment.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1957.
