WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, will provide these funds to JETS cover the cost for pension contributions, building content insurance and Unemployment/Workman's Compensation insurance.
 
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, in the past, paid for as a part of the consolidated bill for the entire City and were not cover by the City's subsidy to JETS.
 
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, with its current accounting procedures is charging these cost to JETS and not to the General Fund.
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
 
SECTION 1:  the City of Jonesboro will amend the 2009 budget to cover insurance and pension cost not previously allocated to JETS.
 
SECTION 2:  the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $69,258.15 to be paid from undesignated General Fund Balance to cover 2009 cost for the following:
 
Pension Contributions      $26,303.00
Building Insurance (Contents)      $ 8,253.00
Unemployment/Workman's Compensation      $34,705.15
 
SECTION 3:  This ordinance, being necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Jonesboro, an emergency is declared to exist.  This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
