A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH CAVENAUGH AUTOMOTIVE GROUP FOR SPONSORSHIP OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department provides youth recreational basketball programs for the citizens of Jonesboro and the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, Cavenaugh Automotive Group desires to provide sponsorship funding for youth basketball jerseys bearing the sponsor's name and/or logo; and
WHEREAS, Cavenaugh Automotive Group agrees to provide sponsorship funding in the total amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball Program, consisting of $2,500.00 for Winter Basketball and $2,500.00 for Summer Basketball; and
WHEREAS, the term of the sponsorship agreement is for two basketball program seasons, Winter and Summer, ending August 2, 2027;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall enter into a sponsorship agreement with Cavenaugh Automotive Group for the sponsorship of the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball Program. A copy of said agreement is attached as "Exhibit A."
SECTION 2: Mayor Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk April Leggett are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
