RESOLUTION TO APPLY TO THE UNITED STATES CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION FOR A GRANT UNDER THE INTER-GOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL ACT OF 1970

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, wishes to make application to the United States Civil Service Commission for a grant under the Inter-Governmental Personnel Act of 1970, program of #27-012; and

WHEREAS, the application is for thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000); half of which will be provided by the federal government and half will be local funding; and

WHEREAS, the mayor must be authorized to apply for said grant;

BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council and the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to make application to the United States Civil Service Commission for funding under the Inter-Governmental Personnel Act of 1970, program #27-012 for thirteen thousand dollars.
