RESOLUTION TO URGE CITIZENS TO SUPPORT THE PASSAGE OF CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 64

WHEREAS, the jurisdiction of the Municipal Court of Craighead is at present limited to $300.00 in cases involving contracts and debts, and $100.00 in cases concerning damage to personal property; and
WHEREAS, proposed Constitutional Amendment 64, which is on the ballot in the general election of November of 1986, would raise the jurisdiction limits to $3,000.00 in Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro and all of its citizens therein if the proposed Constitutional Amendment 64 was approved by the voters of the State of Arkansas.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the passage of proposed Constitutional Amendment in the November, 1986 general election would be in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro and all of its citizens, and further be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, urges that all of its citizens support and vote for said Amendment in the general election.
