RESOLUTION TO PROCEED WITH CONDEMNATION ACTION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 203 NORTH DRAKE STREET

WHEREAS, the City Inspector and Fire Chief of the City of Jonesboro have made a full inspection of the property and premises at 203 North Drake Street; and
WHEREAS, said officials find and report that the property at 203 North Drake Street is in a deplorable condition and unfit for human habitation and is unsightly, unsafe, unsanitary, obnoxious to public welfare, and that all of such buildings should be either completely overhauled from roof to plumbing and a general cleaning up of the entire are, or that it should be demolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the property and premises known as 203 North Drake Street in the City of Jonesboro be, and it is hereby, found and determined to be dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe, unsanitary and obnoxious to the public welfare; and that pursuant to City Ordinances and State law the owner of said property be given by the City Attorney ninety (90) days notice to remove or tear down such buildings, and that the City Inspector enter upon said property and premises and remove or tear down such buildings if the same are not removed or torn down or repaired and placed in a good condition by the owner so that the same shall not be dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe, unsanitary and obnoxious to public welfare, within the ninety (90) days; and further that because of the condition of said building, the owner be advised not to rent same in its present condition.
