CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, JANUARY 19, 1982
The Jonesboro City Council met in regular session, Tuesday, January 19, 1982, at 5:00 P.M. Present, Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney, and the following named aldermen: Park, Stricklin, Hinson, Bridger, Johnson, Province, Mays, Haggenmacher. Absent; Shelton, Minx, Hannah, Sanderson.
The minutes of January 4, 1982, were approved as mailed on motion by Mr. Mays, second by Mr. Stricklin and unanimous vote of council.
Mr. Stricklin offered the following resolution:
RESOLUTION TO NAME JUDGES, CLERKS AND ALTERNATE WORKERS FOR THE CITY WATER AND LIGHT PLANT ELECTION FOR 1982
Mr. Bridger moved for adoption of same, seconded by Mr. Hinson, all aye. The resolution was given the number 1982:01.
Mr. Province moved that the City sell St. Bernard’s Hospital a 2 1/2 ton refuse truck for $1.00. After discussion on the matter, Mr. Province amended the motion to sell for $100.00. Motion seconded by Mr. Hinson. Mr. Haggenmacher voted nay and all other voted aye.
There being no further business, council adjourned.
