A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO ARKANSAS CERTIFYING LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has several approved enterprise zone designations which is enumeration District 0561 and Census Tracts 9901, 9902, and 9906 within the corporate limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or enterprise to participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program and benefit from the refunds/exemptions as provided in Part IV of the Arkansas, Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1983, as amended in March, 1989; and
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on a specific form available from AIDC; and
WHEREAS, Cabinet City Woodworks located at 108 S. Fisher, Jonesboro, Arkansas Ct 9902, Block Group 4, has sought to participate in the program and has been found by the management of the Enterprise Zone Program to be eligible for the benefits thereof, and more specifically has requested benefits accruing from the construction of an addition to its present business and of hiring additional employees; and
WHEREAS, Cabinet City Woodworks has agreed to furnish the management of the Enterprise Zone all necessary information for compliance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
1. Cabinet City Woodworks located in Ct 9902, Block Group 4 be endorsed by the City of Jonesboro for the benefits from the refunds/exemptions through March, 1996, as provided in Part IV of the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1983, as amended in 1989.
2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
