RESOLUTION TO REQUEST FREE UTILITIES TO PROVIDE SECURITY LIGHTING AT CITY PARKS

BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that City Water and Light be requested by this resolution to provide security lighting at the following City parks: Fairview Park (2212 Brazos Street), E. Boone Watson Center (1005 Logan St), Miles Park (1605 N. Bridge St.), North Main Park (107 W. Allen St.) and Parker Park (1506 N. Church St.)
To permit such service to be provided without charge, the City of Jonesboro hereby affirms to City Water and Light that the ultimate use of CW&L utilities so provided is now and shall remain a use or purpose which the city is engaged in as part of its governmental or proprietary functions under authority granted to it by state law.
