AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1851, THE 1984 BUDGET ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to amend the 1984 Budget, to include a Five (5) Percent pay raise for all full time employees, effective July 6, 1984;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

Section 1: The 1984 Budget is amended as follows:

 

(a)                     Increase the General Fund Budget $47,838.00 from the un-appropriated General funds;

(b)                     Increase the Sanitation Fund Budget $14,133.00 from the un-appropriated Sanitation Funds;

(c)                     Increase the Parking Meter Fund Budget $285.00 from the un-appropriated Parking Meter Fund;

(d)                     Increase the Parks Fund Budget $1,100.00 from the un-appropriated Parks Fund;

(e)                     Increase the Salary, Holiday Pay and Payroll Tax line items in the Street Budget for a total of $8,680.00.

(f)                     Reduce the Street Contracts line item $8,680.00.

 

Section 2: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effects and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
