A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 6, ITEMS 13, 34 AND 58 OF ORDINANCE NO. 757 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That Item 13 of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 757 of the ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: “Banks $1.00 per $1,000.00 of the capital stock.”
SECTION 2. That Item 34 of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 757 of the ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: “Chemicals, Penetrating Oil and Patent Medicine, shall pay according to Schedule “A”.
SECTION 3. That Item 58 of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 757 of the ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: “Dance Hall, where admission is charged $100.00 per year.”
SECTION 4. That the following language be added to Item 83 of Sec. 6 of Ordinance 757: Provided that persons, firms or corporations who retail all ice cream manufactured by them shall pay $25.00 per annum.
SECTION 5. And it being found that the immediate passage and enforcement of this ordinance is necessary for the protection of the public peace, health and safety and emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, adoption and publication as required by law.
