A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE NON-UNIFORM PENSION PLAN TO COMPLY WITH THE PENSION PROTECTION ACT OF 2006

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro maintains a pension plan for the benefit of its non-uniformed personnel and,

WHEREAS, City desires to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, especially those concerning the welfare of its citizens and employees and,

WHEREAS, the Pension Protection Act of 2006 was revised with the passage of the Worker, Retiree, and Employer Recovery Act of 2008;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The attached document is hereby adopted as an amendment to the Non-Uniform Pension Plan.
