A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SELL PROPERTY TO VERNON WOOD

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is the owner of the following described property located in Craighead County, Arkansas:
Lot 32 in Block 8 of East Washington Subdivision of Patrick’s Third Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; LESS AND EXCEPT THAT PART OF LOT 32 CONTAINED IN THE FOLLOWING TRACT: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of Lot 31 in Block 8 of East Washington Subdivision of Patrick’s Third Addition aforesaid; thence North 01° 56 East along the West line of Lot 31 a distance of 138 feet; thence East 34 feet; thence South 2° 13 East 138 feet; thence West 44 feet along the North line of Logan Street to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, Vernon Wood has agreed to purchase said property for the sum of $100.00
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that said property be sold to Vernon Wood for the sum of $100.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to sell the above described property to Vernon Wood for the sum of $100.00 and execute any and all documents necessary to effectuate this transfer.
