AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE TITLE OF JONESBORO CITY ORDINANCE SEC. 66-227

Body

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

 

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro previously adopted ordinance sec. 66-227 titled parking in fire lanes prohibited, and

 

Whereas, there already exists ordinance sec. 66-194 titled parking in fire lanes prohibited,

 

Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, that

 

Section 1: That the title of Jonesboro City Ordinance Sec. 66-227 be amended to delete the following language, parking in fire lanes prohibited.

 

Section 2: That the title of Jonesboro City Ordinance Sec. 66-227 shall now read parking within 15 feet of fire hydrant prohibited.

 

Section 3: That the provisions of this ordinance are necessary for the order and conduct of the affairs of the City of Jonesboro and are further needed to eliminate any confusion as to the ordinances adopted by the city of Jonesboro, therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
