RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 41 OF MARDIS 2^ND ADDITION, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Clerk for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, on the 1st day of December, 2005, requesting that the Jonesboro City Council vacate and abandon the drainage easements located in Lot 41 of Mardis 2^nd Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas,  and to substitute and replace the said drainage easements with those depicted on a re-plat of Lot 41 of Mardis 2^nd Addition and Lot 17 of Mardis First Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas, attached as Exhibit B to the Petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that

SECTION 1: The hearing on said petition of Roy Jackson shall be held at the regular meeting of the Jonesboro, Arkansas, City Council at 6:00 p.m. on December 19, 2005, at 900 West Monroe Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

SECTION 2: the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in the Jonesboro Sun, a newspaper published and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
