AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3450 ADOPTING A 2004 ANNUAL BUDGET AND AMENDING THE PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Pay Plan allowed for salary appeals to be conducted at the end of the first quarter following implementation of the plan;
WHEREAS, those appeals have now been heard and recommendations made to the Finance and Administration Committee by Condrey and Associates, the Human Resources Director, the Personnel Committee Chairman and the Mayor;
WHEREAS, the Finance and Administration Committee has approved the recommendations as submitted with a retroactive effective date of January 1, 2004;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas,
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 3450 is hereby amended by the appropriation of $14,687.00, for salary adjustments resulting from the salary appeals relating to the current pay plan, per attachment.
SECTION 2: That the City of Jonesboro pay plan is hereby amended to reflect the pay grades and salary adjustments resulting from the salary appeals, per attachment.
SECTION 3: This ordinance being necessary to correct the current salaries and pay grades as of January 1, 2004, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
