AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

Section l: That Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: (Frank Springle, ET AL, Lot 1 Springle’s Subdivision, Highland Drive/ Warren Dupwe)

 

From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) of property described as follows: Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 27, Township 14 North, Range 4 East to wit: From the Northeast corner of the said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, run South in Cain Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 56 feet; then run North 88 deg. 43’ West, parallel with and 60 feet South from the centerline of Highland Drive, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 10 feet to the point of beginning, then run South 185.00 feet: then run North 89deg. 15’ West 165.00 feet; then run North 187.00 feet; then run South 88 deg. 43’ East 165.00 feet to the point of beginning, being 0.70 acres.

 

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of November, 1987.
